PlainsCapital Bank’s Westlake Commercial Lending Team Welcomes Chris Bielss (Coleman Report)


DALLAS, TX (Jan. 4, 2022) – PlainsCapital Bank recently announced that Chris Bielss has joined its Austin commercial lending group as senior vice president at 2705 Bee Caves Road.

“We’re excited to have Chris on our team,” said Westlake Branch President Sean Mills. “His deep-rooted relationships with local entrepreneurs and strong commercial banking background make him an excellent fit to serve PlainsCapital’s clients in Austin and across Texas.”

Bielss—who is a longtime Austin resident—has more than 10 years of banking experience. Most recently, he spent nearly seven years as a vice president at Independent Bank. Prior to his time there, he served as assistant vice president at Southside Bank.

Bielss received a BBA from the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University. He enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife, Kelly, and their 8-month-old twins, Jack and Harper.
