PrimeLending served as the title sponsor for the Women, Wealth and Relationships event at Texas Southern University on Saturday, February 16. The program was presented by the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) and was hosted locally by the Houston Black Real Estate Association.
The goal of the Women, Wealth and Relationships event was to empower and educate African- American women as it relates to areas of financial literacy. Special guests included entrepreneur and former hip-hop artist MC Lyte and Grammy-nominated rapper and actress YoYo. Speakers included author and celebrity financial coach Lynn Richardson and well- respected financial literacy author Gail Perry Mason.
Since June 2012, PrimeLending has partnered with NAREB to serve and educate local communities on lending practices and programs associated with homeownership, and to provide exceptional services and resources to individuals working toward the goal of buying a home.
“PrimeLending always looks to truly connect to the communities and people it serves,” said Latonia Donaldson, vice president and business development manager for PrimeLending. “When presented with the chance to support African-American women through financial education programs, we embraced the opportunity. Partnering with national organizations like NAREB that do so much on the local level is perfectly in line with our people-centric culture.”
