PlainsCapital Corporation Hosts Open House to Celebrate the Newly Renovated Teen Place at Jubilee Park & Community Center
PlainsCapital Corporation hosted an open house event in Dallas on August 22 to celebrate Jubilee Park & Community Center’s newly renovated Teen Place. The event was attended by local community members, Jubilee Park staff, board members and steering committee, Dallas elected district officials, DISD school board members and employees from the companies who made the project possible—PlainsCapital Bank, FirstSouthwest and PrimeLending.
In March, PlainsCapital Corporation donated $100,000 toward the Teen Place renovation project and hosted a community groundbreaking
ceremony at Jubilee Park. The Teen Place, a converted Habitat for Humanity house, is home to Jubilee Park & Community Center’s youth and teen after-school programs that provide a safe and nurturing environment for local students.
To kick off the ceremony, Jubilee Park & Community Center Board Chairman Tom Harbison welcomed guests and shared a brief history of Jubilee Park and the Teen Place. PlainsCapital Bank Dallas Region
Chairman George McCleskey spoke on behalf of the Corporation about our commitment to the Dallas community, our sponsorship of this renovation project and our continued work with Jubilee Park, which
includes teaching financial literacy classes to middle school students beginning this fall. The Dallas Chamber of Commerce also performed a ribbon cutting ceremony outside the entrance of the Teen Place.
After the ceremony, guests were invited to tour the newly renovated facility and enjoy refreshments.
