PlainsCapital Bank Weatherford Salutes America’s Fallen Heroes
Fundraiser to benefit families of troops killed in Iraq and Afghanistan begins October 27, 2008
PlainsCapital Bank Weatherford is hosting a week-long fundraiser beginning Monday, October 27 to benefit the families of servicemen and servicewomen who made the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq and Afghanistan. PlainsCapital customers, along with members of the Weatherford and Parker County community, can stop by the Weatherford location at 1001 Santa Fe Drive to make donations throughout the entire week. All contributions go to the America’s Fallen Heroes Fund, which is committed to raising money for the families of servicemen and servicewomen killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“The men and women of the military put themselves in harm’s way each day to ensure our freedom here at home,” said Pat Hamilton, president of PlainsCapital Bank Weatherford. “PlainsCapital Bank is humbled and honored to recognize our fallen troops and their families. Their selflessness is appreciated and does not go unnoticed."
The fundraiser culminates on Halloween, Friday, October 31, when employees will decorate the Weatherford location in military décor as well as dress up in military-themed costumes. People interested in donating to this worthy cause should look for the America’s Fallen Heroes posters near the collection canisters.
