PlainsCapital Bank Turtle Creek President Ronnie Berg Named Outstanding Director by Dallas Business Journal

Dallas Business Journal recently named PlainsCapital Bank Turtle Creek President Ronnie Berg a 2014 “Outstanding Director” for his dedication and continued commitment to Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center. This award recognizes directors, boards and committees that have demonstrated leadership and business savvy in guiding companies to success.

In 2012, Berg served as the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center’s chairman of the board during the construction of the agency’s new facility. Berg has gone above and beyond to support all of Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center’s events and fundraising efforts. As a capital campaign member, he played a substantial role in raising $11 million to fund the organization’s new building.

Berg co-chaired the organization’s Appetite for Advocacy luncheon in 2013, and served as a committee member for this same event in 2014. In addition, Berg was also a committee member for the organization’s sporting clay tournament, Aim for Advocacy.

Berg helped the organization build strong relationships with local mayors who support their mission to improve the lives of abused children in Dallas County and to provide national leadership on child abuse issues.

Berg is a sensitive and compassionate board member who eagerly brings others to the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center in an effort to continually expand their donor base.

In addition to his service to the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, Berg dedicates his time to 10 other nonprofit organizations in the Dallas community.
