PlainsCapital Bank Sends Veterans Day Care Packages to U.S. Troops Serving Overseas

In honor of Veterans Day, PlainsCapital Bank employees assembled more than 275 care packages for U.S. troops serving overseas. With the help of “Mo” the buffalo, PlainsCapital Bank employees loaded the “Good Guys” Citibus with the care packages on Friday, November 9. The care packages were delivered to the Lubbock Post Office to be shipped to U.S. troops in Afghanistan and Korea.

The individual care packages included a note of thanks and encouragement from PlainsCapital Bank, chocolate, cookies, candy, dehydrated fruit, nuts, drink mixes, toiletries and Christmas goodies to help the troops celebrate the upcoming holiday season.

“My son, Brett, served two tours in Iraq, and I can tell you from our family’s experience that there is no better way to show appreciation to our young men and women serving to protect our freedoms than by prayers and things as simple as a card, letter or care package that lets them know we are thinking about them back home,” said PlainsCapital Bank Lubbock President Les Eubank. “There is no way our family could have made it through those difficult days without the daily encouragement of the PlainsCapital family. These are such small things to most of us here in the U.S. but mean so much to our troops and their families who sacrifice so much for the rest of us.”

PlainsCapital Bank is committed to giving back to those we serve, both our customers here in Texas and to those who protect our freedom through their service to the U.S. military efforts overseas.
