PlainsCapital Bank’s Lubbock Market Supports Men’s Health by Participating in “MOvember”
PlainsCapital Bank employees in Lubbock raised more than $2,500 during MOvember, a mustache growing charity event held throughout the month of November that raises funds for cancer research and men’s health awareness. The Lubbock market, aka Team Mo’s Moustachery, took on this challenge and came together for a great cause.
To raise money for MOvember, employees hosted a Bowling for Mustaches event and recruited sponsors to pay $1 per strike and 50 cents per spare. Score cards were printed and funds were collected after the event.
The Lubbock market became involved with the MOvember fundraising initiative in 2012, raising more than $600 for cancer research. The 2013 team, led by captains Jeffrey Ross and Keith Larremore, expanded from six to 27 members and included both men and women. No, the women did not grow mustaches, but they did play a very important role in raising awareness and funds.
