PlainsCapital Bank recently partnered with the Texas Council on Economic Education (TCEE) to offer Dallas-area high school students the “Fiscal Fitness” essay contest where they had the opportunity to discuss the direction the United States should take to continue on a road to prosperity. The eight winning students and their sponsoring teachers were invited to a special luncheon and panel discussion on Thursday, November 8 at the Magnolia Hotel in Dallas. This event featured nationally-recognized economists and industry specialists discussing their ideas for the next moves for the national and global economy.
Winning students and their sponsoring teachers received an award in the amount of $200 and an Apple iPad for first place, $175 for second place, $150 for third place and $50 for honorable mention.
