PlainsCapital Bank Partners With Salvation Army DFW Metroplex To Support Holiday Angel Tree Program

DALLAS, TX (Dec 7, 2015) — PlainsCapital Bank helped make the holidays a little brighter for Dallas families in need this season. On Dec. 3, Mo the Buffalo, along with dozens of PlainsCapital Bank Victory Park employees, gathered to help Santa Clause load approximately 4,500 gifts onto trucks for delivery to the Salvation Army’s distribution center in Dallas as part of the organization’s annual Angel Tree program. Volunteers, including PlainsCapital Bank Victory Park President J.J. Gomez and Salvation Army DFW Metroplex Commander Major Jon Rich, filled PlainsCapital Bank’s vintage fire truck, as well as two Salvation Army trucks, with bags of clothes and toys. Fellow One Victory Park building tenants Haynes and Boone, Ernst & Young and HFF also participated in the event by donating gifts.

Once the gifts were loaded, Gomez joined Santa Clause and Mo the Buffalo aboard the fire truck to escort the Angel Tree delivery – with sirens blaring – to the Salvation Army distribution center.

“We are very proud to partner with the Salvation Army to support the Angel Tree program,” said Gomez. “It has become a holiday tradition for our PlainsCapital Bank family, and we look forward to it each year. Every child deserves to have a gift waiting for them under the tree on Christmas morning.”

Gomez added that 2015 marks the seventh consecutive year PlainsCapital Bank has partnered with the Salvation Army DFW Metroplex Angel Tree program.
