PlainsCapital Bank Names Devan Watts New EVP

SAN ANTONIO, TX (June 9, 2016) — PlainsCapital Bank welcomes DeVan Watts as executive vice president and senior commercial lender. In his new role, Watts will oversee the branch’s commercial loan and depository business and help grow the commercial loan portfolio. 

Watts has been a member of the San Antonio banking community for more than 30 years. He most recently served as Boerne market president for Jefferson Bank. 

“DeVan brings a wealth of commercial banking experience and knowledge of the San Antonio business community to PlainsCapital Bank, as well as an established reputation for developing lasting client relationships,” said Mike Molak, PlainsCapital Bank region chairman. “We believe in building strong relationships with our customers and look forward to DeVan’s role in strengthening our presence in the San Antonio market.” 

Active in the community, Watts is a past president and current member of The Centurions of Kendall County; past board member, treasurer and chairman of the Education Council for the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce; past president of the Bandera Optimist Club; current board member of the Friends of Cibolo Wilderness and is a past member of the San Antonio and North San Antonio Chambers of Commerce. 

Watts earned a B.S. from Texas A&M University in College Station and is a graduate of the Texas Tech School of Banking.
