PlainsCapital Bank Names Brent Johnston Houston Market President
HOUSTON, TEXAS (Feb. 29, 2016) – As part of PlainsCapital Bank’s expansion in the Houston market, Brent Johnston has been named the new Houston market president. He will lead Houston-area operations from PlainsCapital Bank’s newly opened Kirby Grove location.
A 29-year veteran of the Houston banking industry, Johnston is responsible for overseeing PlainsCapital Bank’s growing commercial loan and depository business in Houston. Johnston most recently served as executive vice president and manager of corporate banking – Houston for Texas Capital Bank. Prior to that, he was with Guaranty Bank, where he served as executive vice president and managing director of corporate banking and energy.
Johnston will office at PlainsCapital Bank’s new Kirby Grove location at 2925 Richmond Ave., in the heart of the Upper Kirby District.

As the flagship office in Houston, PlainsCapital’s Kirby Grove location offers a full range of financial services, including: retail and commercial banking, commercial and industrial lending, commercial real estate lending, private banking and wealth management products and services. The first floor lobby is currently under construction, however bank offices on the second floor are open and operating.
Since entering the Houston market in 2013, PlainsCapital Bank has been steadily working on increasing its presence.
