PlainsCapital Bank in Lubbock Celebrates Fourth of July at the 4th on Broadway Event

More than 70 PlainsCapital Bank employees and family members volunteered at the 23rd annual 4th on Broadway Independence Day celebration in Lubbock, Texas. The event was hosted by Broadway Festivals, Inc., a nonprofit organization that coordinates and finances downtown celebrations to focus attention on the historical significance and overall importance of Lubbock.

PlainsCapital Bank sponsored the Picnic in the Park event at Mackenzie Park which featured food, vendors, children’s activities and live concerts. Bank volunteers and family members staffed parking stations, grilled hotdogs and sausage wraps, managed refreshment booths and drove golf carts to transport elderly and disabled guests. The night concluded with a fireworks extravaganza in the park choreographed to music by the Lubbock Youth Symphony Orchestra.

PlainsCapital Bank Network Administrator Justin Rackler and Customer Service Representative Kristen Rackler served as co-chairs for the Picnic in the Park event. Branch Manager Jeremy Layman and Teller Supervisor Kayse White chaired the banking side of the event, which included gathering money from all 4th on Broadway events, counting it and depositing it into an account at PlainsCapital Bank. Training Specialist Jan Flowers managed the volunteer center at PlainsCapital Bank where employees could take a break, cool off and enjoy refreshments.
