PlainsCapital Bank Donates Gifts to More Than 450 Angels at Annual Salvation Army “Angel Tree” Gift Donation Program

PlainsCapital Bank helped make Christmas a little brighter for families in need this holiday season. On Thursday, December 4, PlainsCapital Bank Dallas employee volunteers, Mo the Buffalo and Santa Claus gathered to load more than 450 bags of Christmas gifts loaded into a 1960s-era fire truck for delivery to The Salvation Army's Christmas Center in Dallas. One Victory Park tenants Ernst & Young, Haynes and Boone, and HFF, and their employees, also participated in this event by donating gifts to those in need.

Once the gifts were loaded onto the fire truck, PlainsCapital Bank, Victory Park President J.J. Gomez, Santa Claus and Mo the Buffalo rode along to deliver the gifts to The Salvation Army’s Christmas Center. With sirens blaring, the fire truck arrived at the Christmas Center where The Salvation Army volunteers received the gifts for delivery to local families in need.

“Every child deserves to have a gift waiting for them under the tree on Christmas morning,” said Gomez. “Giving back to the community is part of our culture at PlainsCapital Bank. There is something so heartwarming about giving gifts to children who would otherwise go without Christmas presents.”

PlainsCapital Bank has partnered with The Salvation Army since 2009, and to date has provided Christmas gifts for more than 1,500 local children and families in need. The Salvation Army’s annual Christmas “Angel Tree” donation program distributes gifts to more than 53,000 families across North Texas.
