PlainsCapital Bank Commits Funds to Museum of Texas Tech University

Contribution will support ‘Celebrating Our Heroes’ exhibits throughout Lubbock

PlainsCapital Bank today announced it has made a $25,000 donation to the Museum of Texas Tech University Association and will serve as sponsor of the “Celebrating Our Heroes” series, a robust collection of collaborative exhibits throughout the city of Lubbock that will honor veterans this June to September.

The Museum of Texas Tech University, the Silent Wings Museum and the Science Spectrum will feature related exhibits honoring veterans of all branches of the military from all wars.

“Our vision was to create a community-wide partnership of Lubbock’s local museums to celebrate our military heroes and bring the community together,” said Kay Davis, “Celebrating Our Heroes” committee co-chair. “We are thrilled with the level of participation throughout the city of Lubbock, that, along with our generous sponsors, have made this series possible.”

Many special events are scheduled in Lubbock as part of “Celebrating Our Heroes” including:
