PlainsCapital Bank Announces Winners of the 2013 Saving For Success Poster Contest

For the second year in a row, PlainsCapital Bank partnered with Consumer Credit Counseling Service (CCCS) of Greater Dallas to host the “Saving for Success” financial literacy poster contest for students throughout Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin and Lubbock. Winners of the contest were selected from among 892 posters submitted by kindergarten through 12th grade students and were judged on expression of theme, artwork, content and overall creativity. The theme encouraged students to artistically convey their definition of success and how they plan to reach their personal goals by saving and making wise financial decisions.

Saving for college was the most popular financial goal illustrated in this year’s posters. Other popular goals included buying a house, raising a family, buying a car and saving for a dream vacation.

Student winners and their corresponding teacher will each be awarded $100 during a presentation at their school. Runners-up and their teachers will each win $50.
