PlainsCapital Bank and the Dallas Mavericks Donate Nearly 1,000 Pieces of Sporting Goods Equipment to Jubilee Park & Community Center
In a joint partnership, PlainsCapital Bank and the Dallas Mavericks presented nearly 1,000 pieces of new sporting goods equipment to Jubilee Park & Community Center at a neighborhood event on Saturday, Nov. 16. Jubilee Park residents and board members and representatives from PlainsCapital Bank and Dallas Mavericks attended this family-friendly event where the sporting goods donation was presented to Jubilee Park & Community Center.
Event activities included Dallas Mavericks game ticket giveaways for all
children who attended, raffle prizes, basketball clinics for kids, appearances by the Dallas Mavericks dancers and ManiAACs and a hot dog lunch for all attendees. PlainsCapital Bank’s official live mascot, Mo the Buffalo, also traveled from Weatherford, Texas to be on hand for photo opportunities. “We are really proud to partner with PlainsCapital Bank to bring smiles to the kids and activity to Jubilee Park & Community Center,” said Dallas Mavericks President and CEO Terdema Ussery. “The bottom line is PlainsCapital gets it. We are excited about this partnership and look forward to doing other things together.”
PlainsCapital Bank is a proud supporter of Jubilee Park & Community Center and earlier this year donated $100,000 to fund their Teen Place renovation project. The Teen Place, a converted Habitat for Humanity house, is home to Jubilee Park & Community Center’s youth and teen after school programs that provide a safe learning environment for local students. In addition, PlainsCapital Bank employees volunteer their time to teach financial literacy education classes to middle school students enrolled in Jubilee Park’s after school program.
“PlainsCapital Bank is pleased to partner with the Dallas Mavericks in our efforts to give back to the local community,” said PlainsCapital Bank Turtle Creek President Ronnie Berg. “The Dallas Mavericks are an exceptional community partner equally dedicated to improving the local areas we serve. PlainsCapital Bank is proud to be part of this generous sporting goods donation that will greatly increase the athletic opportunities available to students at Jubilee Park.”
