Bob Glenn Celebrates 50 Years of Banking in Weatherford, Texas

On April 12, Bob Glenn, executive vice president of lending at PlainsCapital Bank in Weatherford, celebrated 50 years of service to the banking industry. Friends, family, past and present co-workers and even “Bob Glenn’s Former Secretary Society” gathered in the lobby of the Weatherford branch to celebrate his 50-year milestone. City officials, including State Representative Phil King and Mayor Dennis Hooks attended the celebration to congratulate Glenn and officially declare April 12 “Bob Glenn Day” in the City of Weatherford. Pat Hamilton, president of PlainsCapital Bank in Weatherford, and Brian Heflin, chief operating officer for PlainsCapital Bank, both spoke at the event attesting to Glenn’s generosity, leadership and positive attitude.

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Bob Glenn for more than 35 years, and in that time he has proven to be an exceptional worker, mentor and friend,” said Hamilton. “Bob Glenn is not only an asset to PlainsCapital Bank, but also an asset to the community and the citizens of Weatherford. His hard work, can-do attitude and positive spirit have been instrumental to his success in the banking industry, and I know Bob will continue to be an asset to PlainsCapital Bank and the community for years to come.”

Bob Glenn will be honored at the Texas Banker’s Association 50-Year Banker Award Ceremony in San Antonio on May 3 along with PlainsCapital Bank’s Wanda Parker from Lubbock.
