2015 Angel Tree Campaign “Best Year Yet” For PlainsCapital Bank; Gifts and Donations Collected For More Than 500 Children

MCALLEN, TX (Dec 22, 2015) — PlainsCapital Bank is chalking 2015 up as the most successful Angel Tree campaign to date. Thanks to the overwhelming support of employees and customers, this year’s campaign raised more than $7,000 in donations and hundreds of gifts for families in need throughout the Rio Grande Valley. Partnering with the Salvation Army, PlainsCapital Bank hosted Angel Trees at all 17 bank locations in Hidalgo and Cameron Counties. On Dec. 14, Santa and Mo the Buffalo, along with dozens of bank volunteers in McAllen and Brownsville, loaded bags filled with clothes and toys onto Salvation Army trucks to be delivered and doled out to the 529 angels who were “adopted” during this year’s campaign.

“The Salvation Army Angel Tree program is a holiday tradition for our PlainsCapital Bank family; one we look forward to each year,” said Robert C. Norman, PlainsCapital Bank region chairman. “The donations are very personal and meaningful for so many of us. I’m proud of our employees and customers who graciously and generously help support this amazing cause.”

2015 marks the third consecutive year PlainsCapital Bank has partnered with the Salvation Army Angel Tree program.

The Salvation Army’s annual holiday collection drive helps spotlight families in need, giving communities the opportunity to help children who would otherwise receive very little or nothing during the holiday season.
