 Relationship Culture

PlainsCapital Corporation’s relationship-based culture has remained unchanged for more than 25 years. Firmly grounded in the vision of Chairman and CEO Alan B. White, PlainsCapital is committed to supporting our clients, our communities, our employees and our country with dedication, honesty, integrity and a sense of fun and excitement. White communicates a clear vision for the company’s relationship culture: treat people as you want to be treated.

With Clients
In today’s economic climate, relationships are more important than ever because clients want assurance of their financial institution’s safety and soundness. White stresses the importance of building long-term relationships with clients. PlainsCapital’s employees take time to understand their clients and identify unmet needs which results in deep and loyal client relationships. PlainsCapital’s bankers are relationship managers who serve as a single point of contact for their clients. They are well-known for their responsiveness—whether returning after-hours phone calls or getting quick responses on client requests.

In the Community
PlainsCapital Corporation is a proactive corporate citizen in its local communities. The Corporation and its employees are dedicated to civic, community, education, arts, culture, health and human services initiatives in the markets where PlainsCapital does business. In 2012, PlainsCapital Corporation contributed more than $2.3 million to organizations in the communities it serves.

Among Employees
PlainsCapital Corporation’s success is the sum of its people. White understands that when employees are well taken care of, they in turn take better care of their clients. PlainsCapital takes great care to hire talented individuals who will excel in the Corporation’s relationship-based culture. All three companies provide training, recruit from within the companies when possible and regularly recognize achievements.

PlainsCapital’s internal culture is fun, collegial and positive. Halloween is one of the Corporation’s biggest celebrations and costumes are essential. White often holds impromptu celebrations for company milestones and sends inspirational emails to show support for employees.
