Phoenix House Triumph for Teens Luncheon Raises More Than $1 Million

May 26, 2011—The Phoenix House Triumph for Teens Luncheon, held May 13 in Dallas, raised a total of $1,058,250, for Phoenix Houses of Texas, which includes additional funds raised after the event. The luncheon was championed and co-chaired by Lee Ann and Alan White of PlainsCapital Corporation. Lee Ann led the efforts to organize and secure support for the luncheon.

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush served as the keynote speaker and the event also honored the legacy of the late Dallas civic leader Paul M. Bass Jr., who served on the Phoenix House board for seven years. Bass was also a vice chairman at FirstSouthwest for 20 years and introduced White to Hill Feinberg, chairman and CEO of FirstSouthwest. Feinberg has been a longtime supporter of Phoenix House; in fact, the organization recognized his contributions by opening the Hill A. Feinberg Academy of Dallas, which serves adolescents ages 13 to 17 who struggle with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health issues.
