Dec. 17, 2010—The San Antonio Public Library Foundation Board recently elected Mike Molak, president of PlainsCapital Bank San Antonio, to serve as its new chairman. Molak begins his two-year term on Jan. 1, 2011. "We have had the opportunity to work closely with Mike as a member of the executive committee and know he will be successful as chairman," said Kay Lenox, president of the foundation. "His can-do spirit and dedication are evident in all he does, and we are confident he will work to ensure great things will happen for the library system and the city of San Antonio."

In addition to his work with the library foundation, Molak plays an active leadership role on the board of Jewish Family Service of San Antonio, the San Antonio Zoo and the San Antonio Greater Chamber of Commerce's Education and Workforce Committee. He also raises funds for public television.

"I am extremely honored to lead the San Antonio Public Library Foundation as chairman. This group is full of talented and dedicated individuals who are committed to giving back to the community by making sure our library system is an educational resource for all residents," Molak said.
