Lou Sartor Receives Volunteer of the Year Award

June 17, 2011—The Irving Rambler recently featured an article on Lou Sartor, executive vice president of business development at PlainsCapital Bank, who received the 2011 Salesmanship Club Volunteer of the Year Award for her dedicated service to the Byron Nelson Championship.
Sartor has volunteered at the Byron Nelson for the past 27 years, primarily serving in the corporate venue area, but over the years has helped with everything from communication to hospitality to transportation. Each year one volunteer is selected from the 1,100 volunteers who help at the tournament.

“My primary job, as a volunteer, is to make the Byron Nelson a great experience for the attendees,” said Sartor. “If I do my job, the Salesmanship Club members will secure sponsorships and sell tickets that will raise funds for the kids who attend their schools.”
The award was a total surprise to Sartor, who was honored with her husband, daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren at the event.

“I was humbled by the honor but also very proud to be able to accept the award with my family attending, especially my two granddaughters,” said Sartor.
