FirstSouthwest to Deliver 200 Winter Coats to Dallas ISD Elementary School

Company’s Employees Glad to Lend a Hand During Coldest Time of Year.

As temperatures prepare to drop to record lows, employees at FirstSouthwest, a Dallas- based investment bank, are gearing up to deliver 200 new winter coats to students at William Anderson Elementary School.

FirstSouthwest employees will caravan to the school at 1 p.m., Friday, January 8, to deliver the coats to students. The school is located at 620 N. Augustine Rd.

Recently, the school’s staff made an urgent request for coats for some of their students. FirstSouthwest employees went beyond their internal goal of providing 100 coats and donated enough money to purchase 200 coats.

Over the past five years, FirstSouthwest and its employees have partnered with the school to provide school uniforms and Christmas presents for the students and their families. Students also visited the company’s headquarters in downtown Dallas to learn about finance and the corporate world.

“We are delighted to partner with William Anderson elementary to make an impact in the lives of students,” said Boyd London, managing director of FirstSouthwest. “We can’t think of a worthier cause and are glad to step up to the plate when students need our help. We hope our efforts will encourage other companies and their employees to find ways to lend a hand.”
