If you've just received a Payroll Card from your employer, you must activate it before you can use it. Activating your Payroll Card allows you to begin making transactions with your card.

Registering your payroll card allows you to access your account information online. You will be able to view your card balance, and the value of your card will also be protected against theft or loss.

If you've activated your Payroll Card, you are ready to start using your card as soon as your employer deposits your wages on pay day. You can make purchases using your Payroll Card anywhere Visa is accepted. To make a purchase, just swipe the card through a merchant pay terminal or give your card to the cashier. You can also get cash at any ATM.

The following fees may apply to your Payroll Card.
- Account maintenance: $9.95 per month (may be waived by employer)
- Card setup: $5.00 one-time fee (may be waived by employer)
- Basic transactions, including purchases and point-of-sale withdrawals, are free
- ATM transactions at PlainsCapital ATMs are free; transactions at foreign ATMs may incur fees
- Online account access is free
- Free calls to check your balance at 1-800-538-9990
- Electronic funds transfer to bank account: $1.00 each
- Replacement Card: $5.00
- Overdraft fee: $25.00 per overdraft
- Card Inactivity Fee (begins 90 days from last activity): $5.00 per month
- Refund of unused funds by check: $15.00
