Bud Holmes

Jerry D. “Bud” Holmes is executive vice president of agricultural lending for PlainsCapital Bank Lubbock. Holmes manages the agricultural and commodity lending departments of the bank while maintaining a sizeable loan portfolio. His 24 years of experience in the banking and finance industries encompass credit administration and consulting in addition to commercial and agricultural lending. Holmes is a member of the Texas Cattle Feeders Association and the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association. He also serves as an advisory member of the PlainsCapital Bank Board of Directors, a board member of the PlainsCapital Bank Lubbock Advisory Board and a member of the National Advisory Board of the National Ranching Heritage Association and Center. He is a graduate of Leadership Lubbock and currently serves on the board of the Southwest Council of Agribusiness. Formerly, Holmes has served as a board member of New Century Leadership, a member of the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce Agricultural Committee, and a volunteer for United Way and the Texas Tech Rodeo Association. He earned a B.B.A. in finance from Texas Tech University, and he joined PlainsCapital in 1998.
